Our pie selection changes with the seasons. During the winter and early spring months, this means variations on apple and pear, with additional choices using berries frozen during the summer months. Summer brings a bounty of all type of berries, rhubarb, peaches and other stone fruit. We minimize the amount of sugar and other sweeteners used to maximize the flavors of the fruits and spices. Our tender, flaky crust is oil-based (“heart healthy”). Although we generally use a bit of butter as a thickener, non-dairy (vegan) options are available upon request.
Our selection of pies includes:
Apple: Simple but satisfying, a classic farm favorite. Apples combined with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg, heaped into a double-crust pie. Available year-round.
Apple Blackberry:This combination of tart apples and sweet blackberries, with a touch of cinnamon, provides a warm embrace of the transition to summer.
Apple Crumble: A classic apple pie filling, with a butter-sugar crumble topping.
Apple Ginger Pear: Fresh ginger adds a delightful spark to this juicy blend of winter fruit in a flaky double crust. Available winter and spring.
Apple-Strudel. The complexity of an apple strudel filling - apples, currants, nuts, and spices, in a flaky double crust. Available year-round.
Bourbon Apple Cardamom: The apples are soaked in bourbon and combined with a complex mixture of spices for this sophisticated "adult" version of the classic apple pie.
Double Good Blueberry: This single crust pie features a layer of fresh blueberries covered with a thickened blueberry glaze. Available year-round.
Blueberry Lemon: Delicious blueberries with a hint of lemon, nestled in a lattice-top pastry. Available year-round.
Cherry: Fresh cherries - yes, we really do pit them all by hand. But it's worth it for this classic summer pie, which is flavored by a hint of almond extract. Available summer.
Cranberry Blueberry: This combination creates a burst of flavor – tart but not too tart, sweet but not too sweet. Available late fall and winter.
Mince[no meat]: Apples, pears, orange, a mixture of dried fruits and spices, and the special addition of brandy makes this a classic winter treat. Available late fall and winter.
Mixed Berry: A mix of fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries (depending on what's available!) makes a perfectly delightful, mouthwatering pie. Available year-round.
Peach: Fresh peaches sliced and tossed with two kinds of sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and almond extract. Available summer.
Open-Faced Peach Pie with Crumble Topping: Fresh peach halves arranged on a bottom pastry crust, covered with nutmeg-butter-sugar crumble topping. Available summer.
Fresh Pear Pie: Lemon, orange, cinnamon and ginger enhance the flavor of a juicy pear pie. Available fall through spring.
Pear Pie with Crumble Topping: Fresh pears combined with fresh orange zest and topped with a brown sugar crumble infused with spices. Available fall through spring.
Raspberry Peach: Peaches and raspberries combine for a jewel of a pie, bursting with flavor. Available summer and fall.
Rhubarb: Fresh rhubarb makes a refreshing start to the summer - not too sweet, with a hint of orange and nutmeg, in a double crust. Available late May and June.
Strawberry Rhubarb: This classic combination of sweet strawberries and tart rhubarb also offers a taste of cinnamon and nutmeg. Available late May and June, and possibly part of July.
